G Magazine was spear-headed by the publishers of HK Magazine. I met up with Stephen, owner of the successful tabloid who told me of his interest in starting up a gay-friendly magazine and showed me a mockup of G Magazine in its development stage. This orchestrated meeting was probably or partly instrumental to my interest in graphic layout and publishing. I had not published anything at the time.
This shoot with Caesar was one of several editorials. I’ll have to dig them up later to see what I had done back them. Recounting the memories of the shoot, I just remembered thinking how exceptionally beautiful and attractive he was. If not for a team of guys helping out, I might have tried to take advantage of him. It is honestly very difficult to work in these conditions where an ideal type is walking around the studio and taking your artistic direction.
