The image you see above was taken in May 2005, just months before my sciatica (leg pain) set in. I had taken a look at the images and made an initial selection, but didn’t have the energy nor concentration to fine tune them — I was simply too concerned about my health condition. But the pain has subsided to about 15% of what it used to be, enough to get me back on the drawing board and photoshop. To Shawn, I  apologize for taking so long to get these up here.

I will admit to one thing regarding the seated images of Shawn, and that is that I was quite influenced by one of Greg Gorman’s photographs in his ‘As I See It’ section of his website. So much so that I was trying capture just a bit of his lighting and mood. I don’t have the set location as he does, but I tried it anyways using my standard green-grey curtains and strong directed lighting. Seeing Shawn with his lean body then made me want to emulate a similar mood. All in all, I am pleased with the shoot.
