The Asian Male Series

This the first book that started it all in The Asian Male series of photographs. It is called 1.AM. A for Asian and M for Male, not as in the time. It was the first in a series that reflected my interest in creating something tangible. I wanted to hold and feel the essence of my photography in a book form.

Book 2 in The Asian Male series

2.AM is my second publication which came shortly after the release of 1.AM. It contains more pages and guys than my first book. The guys appearing in this book were more international in flavour, with more muscular bodies entering in the picture.

3.AM

3.AM

The 3rd book in the Asian Male series

After a rather long hiatus from 2.AM, I mustered the energy to put together the third book. It was quite a journey moving from a more exploratory level of photography and now integrating some fashion-based elements in collaboration with Patryk Chaou. Nevertheless, I tried to maintain a certain integrity within the selection of images that retained much of the spirit that was in the first two books.

MAGAZINE

This was my attempt at understanding the business of magazines. Yes, the publication was published, and I thought I could market this to a wider audience of advertisers. I was wrong. Nevertheless, the publication is one of my favourite creations. Featured in Beaux are Derek (a.k.a ‘Milkboy’), Loren and Patrick — who all posed nude during the shoots.

JESS MOON SEO

JESS MOON SEO

TAME SERIES

JESS MOON SEO is a professional life model in Korea that understands his body very well, much like an athlete, but with a thorough understanding of shapes, angles and form. Possessing a defined hairless body and ideal proportions, Jess was a delight to photograph, as we used a large floor mirror to create a stunning collection of emotive, sensitive images.

WILLIAM LO (PART 2)

WILLIAM LO (PART 2)

TAME SERIES

Minimal props including a thin white-T, water and an assuming antique mirror which lay the ground for eroticism within an unrehearsed brief. There is an intensity from William Lo (羅曉峰), who makes direct contact with the camera lens leading to self-seduction, but without the need for overt physical reactions.

The first issue brings together Loren, Patrick and Jun — all Hong Kong models that show the diversity of Asian men in this fascinating city.
