It’s not every day that I have the opportunity to photograph a professional Asian male model for my collection of images, but here he is — Wilfred Wong. He’s got a superb beautiful smile and a personality that is sweet and sincere. The shoot went on for about 3 hours before we got the best shots, but here is a sampler of an image taken earlier during the session.

This is a guy that I have wanted to meet and photograph. Luckily enough, I had the opportunity to see him at the CK Jeans & Underwear Spring/Summer presentation here in Hong Kong. What a superbly well-proportioned man he is and with a beautiful chest and abs. 
There are many guys that I have photographed with superbly built bodies. Trying to capture their beauty is always a challenge, while not resorting to the typical chest and abdominals shot. As I love the shadows and darkness, I am always looking for that extra touch of difference with the limitations of a small studio with the simplest of lighting and adornment. Here, I was honored with the chance to do just that with Roger, who so kindly allowed me to shoot him nude. I hope you like these and can savor the beauty of this young man.

These are some photographs taken from a shoot with Billy, a talkative friendly young man from Hong Kong that I met through facebook. After chatting with him several times, I invited him to come to my studio for a test. What initially was meant to be a short one hour shoot turned into a 2.5 hour session. The most challenging set came at the end when shooting his portrait. Normally, I can make the shot with a single light source, but in this case, two soft boxes were necessary — one light placed at the front and one at the back. Billy is currently working full time as an auditor. His current interests include working out, movies, sun-bathing, tennis and being a well-rounded person as a whole.

Calvin Chow was someone I had known for quite some time on the internet before actually meeting him in person. It may have over a year, or perhaps two. I recalled seeing images of him, wearing the occasional swimwear and seeing a very well developed upper body. Toward the end of last year, I struck up a conversation with him and made arrangements try to meet up, just to talk about the shoot. Two times we were supposed to meet and two times we never made it. Then a few weeks ago, we finally caught up with one another. It was clear that this young man was very nervous and fearful about being photographed, and about what he would be getting into. As it turned out, he very much wanted to be photographed, but his other half was very much against it. We decided in the end that we would do a very simple test shoot without going into anything beyond being shirtless. Here are a few of the shots I quite liked.
